2024 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report (PDF Format)
The Campus Security Act requires colleges and universities to:
• Disclose crime statistics for the campus, public areas immediately adjacent to or running through the campus, and certain non-campus facilities and remote classrooms. The statistics gathered from campus police or security, local law enforcement, and other university officials who have significant responsibility for student and campus activities. This information can be found on the "Campus Crime Statistics" section of the Department of Public Safety/Â鶹ÊÓƵappÏÂÔØ Police website, www.new.uno.edu/upd/.
• Provide "timely warning" notices of those crimes that occurred on campus, or within the patrol jurisdiction of campus police or campus security department. This information can be found on the "Crime Alerts" and the "Crime Log" at the Department of Public Safety/Â鶹ÊÓƵappÏÂÔØ Police website, www.new.uno.edu/upd.
• The Department of Public Safety/Â鶹ÊÓƵappÏÂÔØ Police is responsible for preparing and distributing this report. The Police Department worked closely with a variety of University departments and organizations to develop and compile the information contained within this annual report.
• Publish an annual report every year by October 1st that contains three years of campus crime statistics and certain campus security policy statements.
