Hospitality Research Center
The Hospitality Research Center (HRC) is a Louisiana Board of Regents Center. The HRC provides a variety of research services to local and state hospitality and tourism organizations. These services include but are not limited to, Visitor Profiles, Special Events Impact on the Economy, Tourism Industry Salary Surveys, and Tourism Indicators.
Selected Services:
- Visitor Profiles determines demographics, expenditures, activities, and other trip characteristics in profiling domestic and international visitors, and visitors to the Parishes of the State of Louisiana
- Special Events Impact on the Economy evaluates the impact of events such as French Quarter Festival, Satchmo SummerFest, Tales of the Cocktail, Bayou Boogaloo, New Orleans Food and Wine Experience, and others
- Tourism Industry Salary Surveys examines compensation for various positions in the hospitality industry
- Tourism Indicators Project monitors local visitation to measure the CVB tourism department's effectiveness
