About
Dr. Rauenhorst earned her B.A. in Secondary Social Studies Education from the 麻豆视频app下载 and began teaching in the St. Tammany Public School system in 2002. As a teacher she taught American History, World History, World Geography, Law Studies, and Sociology. She continued her education, pursuing a masters degree in Educational Administration and was promoted to the positions of School-to-Work Coordinator and later Assistant Principal. While in the K-12 system she wrote curriculum at the school and district level. She also worked extensively with teachers through professional development and instructional coaching through the COMPASS evaluation process. Most recently, she was selected to serve on the committee that developed the new Louisiana Student Standards for Social Studies. Dr. Rauenhorst went on to earn her doctoral degree in Educational Administration specializing in instructional leadership support of teachers experiencing positional turbulence. She has 23 years of combined experience in K-16 education.
